What Is the Golf Marketing Association?
Marketing is an area that most clubs would like to ignore. Yet good marketing involves building relationships and improving your customer service. It is a way to keep in touch with your players and members. There is a lot of good marketing material out there, but it is scattered among hundreds of authors and publishers. Our goal is to pull together ALL the marketing material you need in one easy-to-use website - this one. The Golf Marketing Association is a group of people with backgrounds in the golf, training, and publishing industries in both Europe and North America. Together they have sought out other top leaders and consultants in the industry to create an association that can help clubs market their services and train their staffs at a higher level. They believe that educating staff results in instant improvements to member service and the bottom line. The goal of the association is to provide a wide range of educational products, special reports, training, and management tools to benefit you - the golf and resort industry.

Martin Wellbourne – Founder
With an extensive background in sales, marketing, publishing, and training, Martin Wellbourne has traveled the globe for over 25 years, consulting with clubs and resorts at every level. Initially influenced by the work of Edward Deming, Martin has been on a lifelong pursuit of better training and systems to make organizations more effective. In addition to owning a successful training company, over the last two decades Martin has also built and sold several publishing companies and a sports magazine. Although semi-retired, Martin still enjoys producing training materials and playing golf. He splits his time between the Caribbean and his home in the South of France.


Carolynn Quirici – Executive Director
Carolynn is Executive Director and also in charge of new products and content. She brings over 30 years of experience in the publishing and training world to the Association. Former publisher of several specialty newsletters and books, she has an editor’s eye when it comes to finding great content and producing it in a way that will get quick results for your organization. Tell her what your training or marketing needs are she is likely to find you the perfect solution!


Ian Stuart – Associate
A former club professional, Ian worked for a number of golf management companies and a leading chain of hotels before joining the association. His passion is to help clubs do a better job of customer service and reap the rewards of this effort in their bottom lines. An avid player and traveler, he can clue you in on the best courses and best pubs just about anywhere.
